The Senate will turn back to energy and environment nominees when it returns to work Monday.
Majority Leader John Thune on Thursday moved to wind down debate on David Fotouhi for deputy EPA administrator and Stephen Vaden for deputy Agriculture secretary.
The Environment and Public Works Committee approved Fotouhi and Aaron Szabo to head EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation along party lines in March.
When it comes to Vaden, the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee approved his selection in May, also along party lines.
