A Senate panel advanced legislation Thursday that would support new international collaborations on nuclear energy and critical minerals.

The pair of bipartisan bills passed out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote.

S.1801, the “International Nuclear Energy Act,” would create an office focused on nuclear energy trade and new collaborations with other nations on nuclear energy development and licensing.
